The Athens Scuba Park is a manmade park that was created with divers in mind. This park includes an enclosed oasis that provides a safe haven for divers and explorers. You will have to pay a park admission fee if you want to spend your day inside of the Athens Scuba Park. In Abilene, Texas, you will find that Valhalla Missile Silo, which is a favorite diving spot of local divers due to the unusual formations found there. The site itself is an actual missile silo that has been filled with water in order to create a unique dive spot.
Austin’s Lake Travis is another great site reserved for those seeking an all natural dive spot. The grottos that surround Lake Travis can reach up to 80 feet, and some of them have large doomed ceilings.
